Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Surgical Tech for the CVOR CST position in Maryland. The candidate will scrub cardiovascular cases, assist in OR readiness, and maintain sterile technique. This role includes on-call duties and weekend coverage, with a 13-week assignment and day shift (06:00–16:30).

Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; active Maryland or compact license required. BLS is preferred; NBSTSA encouraged. Tobacco-free policy applies; NCLEX-style references will be requested.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland or Compact license required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• NBSTSA preferred.
• Must work during Christmas week.
• Call frequency: 2–3 calls per week and at least 1 weekend per month.
• Must have scrub experience.
• Experience with adults, adolescents, geriatrics; neuro surgery experience preferred.
• CVOR cardiovascular cases experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in CVOR procedures and scrubbing for cardiovascular cases.
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Coordinate with circulator and anesthesia for case readiness.
• Participate in block scheduling and on-call rotations.
• Weekend and holiday coverage as required.
• Verify qualifications and references during submission.

Must work during Christmas week.Call requirement is 2-3 calls per week and at least 1 weekend per month (24 hours on Saturday and Sunday).On-call required.Must have scrub experience.

Description:Candidates must be free from tobacco usage in any form.Submissions will be canceled if there is a positive nicotine screen.Experience with adults, adolescents, and geriatrics in general and neuro surgery is required.Experience with cardiovascular cases is preferred.Floating within the facility is not required.Candidates must be able to accommodate a block schedule.Local applicants are welcome.Weekend coverage is required.Two supervisor references are required during the application process.Candidates must have experience with arteriovenous fistula repair, carotid angioplasty, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), mitral valve replacement, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).The facility operates with a total of 12 operating rooms.A strict no-tobacco policy is enforced, and candidates must be nicotine-free.All qualifications and experience should be verified at the time of submission.
