Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Hours per Shift: Day (06:45 - 19:15) and Mid (14:45 - 02:45)

License: Pending State License accepted

Certifications: BLS and NBSTSAS

Must-Have:

• Experience in inpatient, trauma, teaching hospital, and community hospital settings
• General skills in crash cart, scrub, and aseptic technique
• Preferred experience with robotics

Description:The position is for a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) specializing in spine and neuro surgery.The facility handles 40-50 cases per day in a busy operating room environment.The case mix is heavy in spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics.Types of cases preferred include orthopedic and general surgery.There are 20 operating rooms available in this facility.First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.Weekend work may be required as needed.On-call hours will be required as needed.The clinician may float within their scope to meet facility needs.No floating to sister facilities is required.There is no accommodation for block scheduling.Residents within a 100-mile radius are not accepted for this position.References are required from supervisors.This role requires various surgical skills, including but not limited to:

• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair
• Anterior cervical fusion
• Laminectomy/discectomy
• Spinal fusion
• Total hip and knee replacements
• General and robotic surgeriesSpecific experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is preferred.The candidate will be required to adhere to compliance items, including background checks and fingerprinting.This is a teaching hospital with a focus on acute care and a Level 3 trauma designation.
