American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with spine, vascular, general, GYN and DaVinci experience for a hospital surgical services position in Kentucky.

The role includes day shifts 6:30a-7p on three 12-hour days per week, with an on-call requirement of 7p-11p once weekly. You will assist the team during the intra-operative period and maintain instrumentation and aseptic techniques to support patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• CST credential is required.
• License required if applicable.
• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with spine, vascular, general, GYN, and DaVinci procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Hospital surgical services main unit supporting a range of surgical specialties.
• Patient population ranges from neonate through geriatric.
• Day shift hours of 6:30a-7p across three 12-hour days per week.
• On-call requirement of 7p-11p once per week.
• Assist the surgical team during the intra-operative period with a focus on instrumentation and equipment handling.
• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation and equipment for procedures.
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy and procedure.
• Apply aseptic technique consistently to support positive patient outcomes.
• Recognize and respond effectively to urgent or emergency surgical situations.
• Adhere to professional standards of practice and demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and the metric system.
