Description:The facility is licensed for 457 beds and is a Level 3 Trauma center.It is recognized as a Stroke Center of Excellence and a Bariatric Center of Excellence.The operating room consists of 19 OR suites, with 17 rooms already blocked.On average, the unit handles 50 cases per day.Surgical specialties include Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics, General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, and Plastics.Experience scrubbing in cases of Trauma and various orthopedic surgeries is essential.Candidates must have recent and comprehensive experience with Globus, robotic/navigation, ALIFs, TLIFs, and ACDFs.It is important to include information on how often the candidate performs these cases and their overall experience with them.Familiarity with sterile technique is required.Support within the department includes Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, and Unit Secretaries.The EMR used is EPIC, and there is a variety of department-specific equipment.Floating to other areas is not required.Weekend rotation is every fourth weekend, and coverage may be in the form of call or a scheduled shift depending on the need.Scheduled shifts typically run from 7 am to 7 pm.Call is required, with an average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule, and a 45-minute response time is expected.Travelers will work 75% of holidays.Requests for time off must be approved by management.Scrub color is provided.Department culture emphasizes OR culture.
