Description:The position will float between units and may float to an outpatient surgical center.On-call is required one time per week and one weekend every six weeks.Weekends are required for on-call duties.No block schedules are required.The expected ratios are 1:1 for patient care.This position does not approve 48-hour requests for time off.The facility is a Short Term Acute Care and Level II Trauma Center.It has a total of 629 staffed beds and is recognized as a teaching hospital.Scrub color requirements vary by role.Charting is done using Epic.Candidates should be skilled in a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:Abdominal hysterectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, laparoscopic procedures, and hernia repairs.Experience with the Davinci Xi Surgical System is preferred but not required.The candidate will be expected to scrub and circulate in the OR.Healthcare services support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.This position involves working with patients of all age groups including neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.Daily census in the unit is approximately 55-60 patients.The surgery department performs a variety of procedures including neuro, orthopedic, general, GU, GYN, robotics, plastics, ENT, and ophthalmology surgeries.The successful candidate must comply with RTO requests and be flexible in scheduling as needed.Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment.Communication devices needed for the assignment will be provided by the facility at no cost.Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless requested for an interview.Modules are non-billable and all time spent on modules is included in worked hours and is tracked.
