Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO offers a Surgical Technologist Apprenticeship that combines on-site classwork and hands-on training to prepare you for the TS-C certification. The nine-month program integrates you into the OR team while you complete required trainings and externships.

Pay starts at $21.65 per hour for the first 3–4 months, then increases to $22.51 per hour until graduation. Upon successful completion, you may be hired as a Surgical Technologist and continue advancing

Qualifications

• Must be accepted to Intermountain/SLCC apprenticeship program or Intermountain Health Surgical Technology apprenticeship program and meet all prerequisites.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Candidates must read, write and speak English.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and instruments under preceptor supervision.
• Assist surgical team during procedures within defined scope.
• Maintain sterile field and operating room safety.
• Ensure disinfection and sterilization criteria are met for items and environment.
• Clean room and reset for next procedure after completion.
