Job summary

Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a Perioperative Care Technician to support perioperative services across OR, PACU, Pre Op, and Endoscopy. The role emphasizes maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and assisting clinical staff in preparing operating rooms for procedures.

Required are two years of general medical experience and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of recent general medical experience.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked equipment and supply areas.
• Ensure proper functionality of perioperative equipment.
• Assist clinical staff in preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Ensure essential equipment is available, operational, and positioned for each case.
• Maintain clear hallways, stock scrub sinks, assist with equipment turnovers, support clinical teams across Pre Op, PACU, OR and Endoscopy.
• Manage portable gas tanks, replace empty tanks, and report or remove unsafe equipment.
• Transport patients, manage specimens, pick up blood from labs, assist with OR turnover.
