The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and a valid BLS certification, with strong communication and organizational skills. This on-site role emphasizes patient safety and efficient operating room workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
• Ability to operate patient transport equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the operating room, pre-op and recovery areas.
• Assist with patient positioning and prepping under licensed staff.
• Perform OR turnover, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.
• Handle soiled linens, waste, and sharps per hospital protocols.
• Ensure OR suites are stocked with supplies and non-sterile equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and corridors.
• Assist staff with non-clinical tasks during procedures while avoiding the sterile field.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team to support timely procedures.
• Uphold infection prevention and PPE and hygiene standards.
• Support team members in urgent or emergent situations as needed.
