Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin, based in Milwaukee, seeks a Supply Chain Technician for Surgical & Invasive Services. You will ensure supplies, implants, and equipment are available for procedures and will receive, distribute, and replenish inventory with precision.

Role requires 2+ years in supply chain or healthcare inventory, plus familiarity with MMIS and related systems. You’ll work with clinical teams to address shortages and maintain audit-ready records.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Experience with healthcare inventory systems.
  • Healthcare support or hospital materials background.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure critical medical supplies, implants, grafts, tissue products, and equipment are available when needed.
  • Receive, distribute, and replenish inventory accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain organized stock locations.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Track and manage expiration dates, recalls, lot numbers, backorders, and product documentation.
  • Rotate inventory to reduce waste and support quality standards.
  • Pick supplies and assemble case carts for upcoming surgical procedures.
  • Restock unused supplies following procedures and maintain inventory integrity.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, Sterile Processing, and Supply Chain partners to address shortages and urgent requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of ordered, purchased, received, and returned products.
  • Help identify and solve inventory discrepancies and operational challenges.
  • Keep workspaces clean, organized, and audit-ready.

What You'll Do

Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, HSED, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, healthcare support, or a related field
  • Associate Degree
  • Experience with healthcare inventory or materials management systems
  • Experience with PeopleSoft MMIS, Par Excellence, Q‑Sight, or similar inventory management software
  • Hospital, surgical services, or clinical support experience
