Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to maintain daily medical and surgical supplies for the Surgical Service and Gastrointestinal departments. You will support the Lead Surgical Tech with equipment repairs and coordinate inventory cycles, while liaising with physicians, nurses, and schedulers to meet demand.

Minimum 3 years in a hospital supply chain environment is required; preferred candidates may have Surgical Technologist certification and familiarity with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Automated Inventory Control Systems.
• Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Minimum of 3 years in a hospital Supply Chain Department.
• Ability to maintain a work pace and establish effective working relationships.
• Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist; Surgical Service Material Management experience; knowledge of university/medical center policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily medical and surgical supply in Surgical Service and GI departments.
• Assist Lead Surgical Tech with equipment repair or service needs.
• Research special equipment and supply needs; perform weekly inventory cycle counts and semiannual inventories.
• Communicate effectively with surgical service director, physicians, nurses, and technicians about supply deficiencies.
• Review daily surgical schedule with department schedulers for special supply needs.
