Bon Secours is seeking a Perioperative Attendant at St. Francis Eastside to support the surgical team and ensure efficient room turnover between cases. You will help with patient positioning, equipment setup, and routine in-room tasks under RN supervision.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to move with urgency in a fast-paced operating room environment. A high school diploma and BLS certification are preferred, with prior perioperative experience valued.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire.
• 1 year perioperative experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Set up surgical suites and ensure room turnover between cases.
• Assist with patient positioning, lifting and transfers; perform sterile holds as needed.
• Restock supplies and linens; monitor oxygen tanks as needed; report shortages to supervisor.
• Set up equipment and positioning devices; report broken or missing equipment to supervisor.
• Transport patients between departments; assist with obtaining clean beds and stretchers.
• Respond to requests and run errands as needed; perform POCT and daily QC checks.

Perioperative Attendant – St. Francis Eastside

Job Summary

The Perioperative Attendant is responsible for assisting the clinical staff by performing a variety of support functions that facilitate the delivery of surgical/procedural services to the patient working under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or designated health care professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and within the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the organization.

Essential Functions

• Performs daily set-up of the surgical suites and room turnover between cases, maintaining a clean and orderly work area throughout the OR. May terminally clean OR suites based upon department design.
• Assists with patient positioning, lifting and transfers. Performs sterile holds as needed.
• Restocks and maintains an adequate amount of supplies and linens needed for surgery and/or anesthesia daily use. May maintain oxygen tanks based upon department design. Reports shortage of supplies to supervisor.
• Sets up equipment and positioning devices as needed for surgery. Reports to supervisor any broken, defective, or missing equipment or positioning devices. Cleans and maintains proper storage of equipment and positioning devices.
• Transports patients to from multiple departments as needed. May obtain clean inpatient beds and stretcher based upon department design.
• Responds to a variety of requests including running errands to and from other departments, obtaining items as needed, etc.
• Performs patient POCT as needed. Performs daily quality control checks on POCT devices.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Required Licensing & Certifications

• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care)

Experience

• One-year perioperative experience (preferred)
