Job summary

BAS HealthCare in Manchester, CT seeks Advanced Practitioner - Surgery to join a Surgical Subspecialties team. You will act as first-assist in the OR across diverse cases and collaborate with surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care.

Eligible candidates include Physician Assistants with 1+ year surgical experience or Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. Expect day/night rotation, no on-call, and strong support from the Office of Advanced Practice with career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Unrestricted CT Medical License required (or eligible).
  • Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner required.

Responsibilities

  • Join a Surgical Subspecialties team with emphasis on teamwork, communication, and provider autonomy.
  • Serve as first-assist in the OR across General, Thoracic, Vascular, Colorectal, and Plastic Surgery.
  • Gain exposure to robotic-assisted procedures, vascular interventions, and breast reconstruction.
  • Manage ED and inpatient consults, admissions, rounding, discharges, and invasive bedside procedures.
  • Open to PAs with 1+ years of surgical experience.
  • Inpatient subspecialties with day/night rotating schedule and premium differentials.
  • No call schedule required.
