Intermountain Health Park City Hospital is seeking a Surgical Services Support Technician to safely transport patients to the OR and PACU, stock equipment, and assist with room turnover. You will help maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team with prompt case turnovers in a dynamic environment.

The role involves assisting with supplies, fluids, and instruments, and may include scrubbing into procedures or supporting by holding extremities as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Transports patients safely to and from the OR holding area, PACU or patient rooms, with proper handling.
• Consults with the anesthesiologist and RN to determine equipment, setup, and supply needs prior to procedures.
• Processes post-surgical case carts by safely discarding sharps, emptying suction canisters, redistributing unused supplies, and sending carts to Sterile Processing.
• Sets up fluid warmers, invasive lines, and sterile supplies for anesthesia procedures, when assigned.
• Ensures timely turnover of operating rooms by cleaning all surfaces and preparing the room for the next surgical case.
• Transports blood products and specimens to and from the blood bank, OR, SDS, PACU, and laboratory/pathology departments, following safety protocols.
• Stocks supplies in OR, SDS, and PACU as directed by the facility.
• Performs additional duties as assigned, including logging warmer temperatures and eyewash stations maintenance.
• Maintains proper traffic patterns and sanitation for instruments and equipment.
• Expanded duties may include training in Basic Aseptic Technique and assisting the surgeon as directed.
