Job summary

University of California, Irvine's UCI Health is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator in Orange County to manage daily medical and surgical supply in the Surgical Service and GI departments. You will assist the Lead Surgical Tech with equipment needs, perform weekly inventory counts, and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and staff to resolve supply shortages.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in a hospital supply chain, strong communication skills, and knowledge of automated inventory

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a hospital Supply Chain Department.
• Knowledge of automated inventory control systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily medical and surgical supply in the Surgical Service and Gastro Intestinal departments.
• Assist Lead Surgical Tech with equipment repair and service needs.
• Research special equipment and supply needs and perform weekly inventory cycle counts and semiannual inventories.
• Ensure effective communication with the surgical service director, physicians, circulating nurses, and surgical technicians regarding supply deficiencies; review daily surgical schedule for special supply needs.
