Job summary

University of California, Irvine Health in Orange County is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to oversee daily medical and surgical supply levels within the Surgical Service and GI departments. You will partner with the OR team to maintain stock, coordinate repairs, and support inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Automated Inventory Control Systems.
• Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily medical and surgical supply in the Surgical Service and Gastro Intestinal departments.
• Assist Lead Surgical Tech with equipment repair and service needs.
• Research special equipment and/or supply needs; perform weekly inventory cycle count and semiannual inventories.
• Ensure effective communication with surgical service director, physicians, circulating nurses, and surgical technicians of any supply deficiency.
• Review daily surgical schedule with department schedulers for any special supply needs.
