Job summary

Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista, part of Scripps Health, seeks a full-time RN Manager to lead the perioperative nursing team in the OR and ensure safe, efficient workflows.

The role requires 5+ years in main OR with 2+ years in leadership, California RN licensure, and strong communication and planning skills. Eligible for Management Incentive Compensation Program and relocation/retention incentives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of main OR experience with at least two (2) years in a OR leadership role.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Demonstrated authority and responsibility for assigned services.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, team development, planning, and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit(s) in Surgical Services.
• Develop and manage staffing plans for appropriate coverage and quality care.
• Ensure staff have equipment, supplies, and resources to perform duties.
• Promote compliance with established nursing standards and practices.
• Foster a culture of patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee care transitions and active involvement of staff in planning.
