Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Preference Card Coordinator for Surgical Services in Detroit. The role combines duties of a Surgical Technologist with development and maintenance of the preference card system used in complex operations.

You will collaborate with nursing, surgical teams, inventory, and finance to ensure accurate instrument and supply lists and optimized per-case readiness. An on-site, full-time position located in Detroit, MI is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist and/or Supply Chain Management, including at least one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist with highly complex case experience.
• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the computer-based Surgical Services preference card system.
• Coordinate with local nursing and surgical teams for instrument and supply lists.
• Maintain inventory and equipment lists for surgical procedures.
