Job summary

Best Choice-Surgical Technologist, a contingent float pool within Henry Ford Health System, offers flexibility and diverse clinical experiences across locations. Based at One Ford Place in Detroit, you will float to various sites to support staffing needs and ensure patient safety during call-ins, census increases, or vacations.

You will assist in surgical procedures, participate in planning and care delivery, and communicate with patients and staff to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum three years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

Role Overview: As a Best Choice-Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care across Henry Ford Health System by floating to various locations where staffing needs arise. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of care during call-ins, census increases, or vacation coverage, ensuring seamless operations and patient safety.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Specific knowledge of surgical procedures within the operating room (OR), in addition to knowledge of surgical procedures, practices and techniques in providing patient care and assisting surgeons in the O.R.
• Minimum of threeyears of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES:

• Current BLS certification required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
