Cataract & Laser Institute (CLI) is seeking a friendly, adaptable Patient Support Specialist to help patients throughout their visit. This position floats between departments within the clinic , providing support as an optician, at the front desk, and as a technician . It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys learning new skills and helping wherever the team needs them most.
Welcome patients, answer questions, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate patient information at the front desk.
Assist patients with optical needs, including frame selection and other optician duties after training.
Support technicians with patient preparation, testing, and clinic flow after training.
Move between the three departments based on daily patient and staffing needs.
Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers while protecting patient privacy.
A patient-focused, dependable team member who is comfortable changing tasks throughout the day.
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Comfort learning clinical and optical processes.
Experience in healthcare, ophthalmology, optical, or a patient-facing role is helpful; training will be provided.
