Job summary

Cataract & Laser Institute in Ohio is seeking a compassionate Patient Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for patients, coordinating appointments, answering questions, and ensuring a welcoming care experience.

You will schedule procedures, update demographics and insurance details, document interactions in the EMR, and collaborate with providers and clinics to resolve routine concerns while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical office, call center, or patient services preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills with calm, compassionate communication.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional judgment and handling confidential information appropriately.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do
