Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks an experienced nurse leader to oversee the daily operations of the Surgical Services Operating Rooms. This role requires applying management principles to the perioperative discipline and exercising independent judgment in budget, personnel, patient services and administrative programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a minimum of five (5) years intraoperative nursing experience in Nursing, with at least two (2) years supervisory, managerial, or other responsible nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Surgical Services Operating Rooms.
• Frequent to apply management principles to the perioperative discipline.
• Make independent judgments in budget, personnel, patient services and administrative or professional programs.
• Maintains twenty-four (24) hour accountability and coordinates communications, training, operations and administrative activities for intraoperative cost centers.
