Job summary

Northwestern Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead a five-room OR in a community hospital.

You will manage staffing, scheduling, and regulatory readiness while partnering with surgeons and anesthesia to ensure safe, efficient patient flow. The role requires a BSN and Vermont RN licensure; Master’s in a related field is preferred, with CNOR/NE-BC or lean Six Sigma experience valued.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active RN licensure in Vermont.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• CNOR/CSSM/NE-BC or related perioperative leadership certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership for safe, efficient OR operations and patient flow.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and payroll-related follow-up for OR staff.
• Lead staff development, education planning, and competency validation.
• Oversee equipment, supplies, and resource stewardship for perioperative services.
• Drive quality, safety, and cost-performance through data-driven improvement.
