Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott Valley, AZ, is seeking a Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality perioperative care. You will perform comprehensive assessments, participate in planning and implementing care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in Nursing, 9 months RN experience, AZ compact license, and ACLS/BLS; CNOR or CVOR experience

Qualifications

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required or in scope.
  • Demonstrates competency in EKG skills by testing or coursework.
  • ARIZONA compact RN license orState license.

Responsibilities

  • Performs ongoing systematic assessments across physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive domains.
  • Formulates goal-directed plans based on nursing diagnoses and outcomes.
  • Implements care in a thorough, skillful and consistent manner.
  • Establishes priorities for patient care using unit resources.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of care by the health care team.

  • Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural,
  • spiritual and cognitive status; also nutrition, pain, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
  • Formulates a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
  • Implements care in a thorough, skillful, and consistent manner.
  • Establishes priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of care given by health care team members.

  • Job Requirements* Required
  • Associate degree of Nursing
  • Nine (9) months of general or skilled Registered Nurse experience
  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider
  • Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months of position
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • One (1) year circulating or combination of scrub and circulating experience
  • CVOR experience preferred for the Cardiac Surgery Service Team
