Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN) at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center network in Prescott, AZ. You will provide compassionate, high-quality perioperative care, perform assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes urgent critical thinking, patient-first care, and professional growth in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree of Nursing is required.
  • Nine (9) months of general or skilled RN experience are required.
  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license is required.
  • ACLS certification is required.
  • BLS certification is required for healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs ongoing patient assessments across physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive domains.
  • Forms goal-directed care plans and prioritizes patient outcomes.
  • Implements care thoroughly and consistently.
  • Establishes priorities based on patient needs and available resources.
  • Evaluates care effectiveness with the health care team.

  • Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural,
  • spiritual and cognitive status; also nutrition, pain, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
  • Formulates a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
  • Implements care in a thorough, skillful, and consistent manner.
  • Establishes priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of care given by health care team members.

  • Job Requirements* Required
  • Associate degree of Nursing
  • Nine (9) months of general or skilled Registered Nurse experience
  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider
  • Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months of position
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • One (1) year circulating or combination of scrub and circulating experience
  • CVOR experience preferred for the Cardiac Surgery Service Team
