Job summary

Kaleida Health in Williamsville, NY, is seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse to assess and treat patients, execute physician-ordered regimens, and contribute to safe, high-quality care. This full-time role supports the MFS Nursing 3E department with a 6:45pm–7:15am shift, onsite at Millard Fillmore Suburban.

The ideal candidate holds NYS RN registration, maintains BLS certification, and is prepared to work in a unionized environment with rotating days and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) and RN permit.
• American Heart Association-BLS certification within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and treats health problems through nursing services (education, counseling, case finding, and supportive/restorative care).
• Executes medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician and adheres to Kaleida policies.

Job Description

Assesses and treats human responses to actual and potential health problems through such services as case finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive or restorative of life and well-being. Executes medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under the NYS Education Department and in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations. Adheres to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.

Education And Credentials

Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN Permit required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter. American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of Hire and must be maintained thereafter.
