Job summary

Kaleida Health is seeking a qualified RN in Labor & Delivery to provide direct obstetric care. The role requires detailed delivery-room support, patient assessment and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications include NYS RN license, BLS/ACLS and obstetric fetal monitoring certifications. The position is onsite with a day-evening shift pattern and salary range provided.

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN license and must be maintained.
• American Heart Association BLS within 6 months of hire and maintained.
• ACLS, NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring certifications required within 1 year of hire/transfer and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and treats health problems through case finding, health teaching, counseling and patient care.
• Executes regimens prescribed by licensed physicians in accordance with NY standards.
• Onsite patient care with obstetric/L&D focus and adherence to Kaleida policies.

Executes medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under the NYS Education Department and in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations. Adheres to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice. Education And CredentialsCurrent NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN Permit required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter. American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of Hire and must be maintained thereafter. RN Obstetrics L&D American Heart Association ACLS, American Academy of Pediatrics NRP & AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring certification required within one (1) year of hire/transfer and must remain current. Must also obtain their NCC certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring within one (1) year of hire/transfer and must remain current.
