Job summary

South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center seeks a Surgical Services Manager to oversee OR and Sterile Processing operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient patient care across hospital and outpatient settings.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, risk management, and adherence to HIPAA and accreditation standards. You will drive staff development and collaborate with Clinical and Administrative leaders to meet service excellence goals.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in TX; BLS & ACLS required or obtained within 30 days; PALS within 60 days of hire.
• BSN required; MS preferred or obtainable within 2 years of hire; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum 5 years OR nursing experience; knowledge of hospital regs and standards

Responsibilities

• Facilitates development of working relationships with Administration, CNO, Medical Staff, hospital staff, and families.
• Demonstrates effective communication with staff, management, physicians, patients and families.
• Leads and delegates; supervises nursing and ancillary personnel in planning and evaluating patient care.
• Provides direct patient care when needed and demonstrates clinical competence.
• Manages OR/sterile processing resources and coordinates with Service area leaders.
• Participates in budgeting, staffing, and supply management for OR and sterile processing.
• Ensures compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body requirements; supports quality and safety initiatives.
• Oversees performance improvement and staff development activities.
