Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Surgical Services Unit Educator to advance clinical excellence by developing and evaluating education programs for Surgical Services staff. You will act as a clinical resource, educator, and change agent, supporting orientation, competency validation, and evidence‑based practice.

Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and leaders, you will ensure staff have the knowledge and skills to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care while upholding regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure required.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS certified within 90 days of hire.
• CNOR required within 12 months of hire.
• BSN degree required.
• Three years of related work experience required.
• AORN and ASPAN membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff education, orientation, and competency programs within Surgical Services.
• Support clinical excellence through training, evidence-based practice, and professional development.
• Partner with leadership to drive quality, safety, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a resource for clinical practice, equipment, technology, and workflow changes.
• Maintain clinical expertise and provide direct support to Surgical Services as needed.
