Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join surgical services/peri-anesthesia in a full-time day shift. The role supports patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under the supervision of the RN.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA certification, high school diploma, and has or will obtain BLS within 30 days of hire; phlebotomy and EKG credentials are preferred. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Pay scale: $22.00 to $25.75

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

2. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.

3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

6. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.

7. High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $22.00 to $25.75. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
