Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Florida
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred
• Completion of unit orientations and competency checklists
• Strong interpersonal communication with patients, families and colleagues
• Completion of annual competency modules and required certifications

Responsibilities

• Assess patient on admission and ongoing basis
• Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
• Coordinate care with LPNs, CNAs, and unit staff
• Initiate teaching plans to support discharge
• Administer medications per policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical practice
• Lead and direct nursing care for the surgical services unit
• Report to work as scheduled
• Uphold Cornerstone standards and hospital mission
