Job summary

Corewell Health's Trenton Hospital is seeking a Surgical Services Assistant to support the Operating Room team. Under RN supervision you will transport patients, prepare them for procedures and help maintain a safe, efficient OR environment.

Responsibilities include turning over OR rooms, cleaning equipment, and assisting with supply management to ensure smooth case flow. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 months of on-the-job training to learn equipment and processes for safe patient care.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and prepare them for procedures.
• Assist in turnover of the OR and prepare equipment for the next case.
• Inventory and order supplies per unit levels.
