Job summary

Ascension Health in Wichita, KS is seeking a dedicated team member to support sterile cleaning of patient rooms and surgical suites, ensuring infection prevention and patient safety. This role emphasizes a welcoming environment and meticulous attention to detail.

You'll coordinate admissions and discharges, support rapid room turnovers with the OR team, manage inventory of linens and supplies, and maintain equipment and service carts to keep the facility efficient.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).

• Facilitate seamless patient transitions by managing the admission and discharge process, ensuring patients and their belongings are moved safely and efficiently.
• Optimize clinical workflows by partnering with the OR team to execute rapid room turnovers, allowing life‑saving procedures to remain on schedule.
• Manage vital inventory levels for linens and medical supplies to ensure caregivers always have the tools they need at their fingertips.
• Maintain high-performance equipment and service carts to ensure the facility operates at peak efficiency and remains organized.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
