Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist Course from an Accredited CAHEA Program preferred.
• 1 year experience as a surgical technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of aseptic techniques for scrub duties and support duties.
• Performs scrub duties as assigned in service areas.
• Assists in carrying out the patient’s plan of care within scope of practice and facility policies.
• Accesses medication/supply room to retrieve items for patient care.
• Transports and escorts patients to various areas as needed.
• Maintains and prepares instruments, equipment and supplies for operative cases.
• Supports patients and families with compassionate care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and respects cultural beliefs.
