Wallowa Memorial Hospital and Medical Clinics in Wallowa County seeks a Certified Surgical Scrub Technician to support surgeons and the operating room, ensuring a safe, sterile environment and efficient procedures.

You will prepare rooms, maintain instruments, assist with patient positioning and counts, and follow infection control standards with a team-focused, patient-centered approach.

Formación

• Certified Surgical Scrub Technician required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet physical and functional requirements.
• Criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks required.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting surgeons during operative procedures and maintaining sterile technique.
• Preparing operating rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
• Performing surgical counts of instruments, sponges and needles and addressing discrepancies.
• Assisting with patient positioning, preparation and draping.
• Maintaining sterile instrument tables and following infection control protocols.
• Decontaminating, cleaning, assembling and sterilizing instruments and supplies.
• Operating and monitoring sterilization equipment and recording testing.
• Monitoring inventory and preparing instrument trays and procedure kits.
• Cleaning, restocking and preparing operating rooms between procedures.
• Collaborating with surgeons and nursing staff to support safe surgical operations.
• Participating in meetings and continuing education.
