Job summary

Aspen Surgery Center in Walnut Creek, CA, seeks a Surgical Technician to assist in the operating room under RN supervision. You will prepare instruments, maintain sterile field, and ensure equipment readiness.

Requirements include a high school diploma, graduation from an approved surgical technician program, CST certification preferred, 1–2 years OR experience, and ability to obtain BLS within 60 days. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

• 1–2 years experience in the Operating Room
• Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within 60 days
• Strong English communication for safe patient care

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for procedures.
• Sets up instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Tends to the patient during pre-operation as directed.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and checks functionality.
• Positions patients on the table and applies sterile drapes.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Counts sponges, needles, and items; assists with specimens and dressings.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction, and related equipment.
• Transfers patients to recovery and restocks the OR after surgery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
