Job summary

Under the direction of the RN, the scrub technician functions as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team in the scrub/assistant role while working alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals at University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital.

You will prepare the operating room and provide surgeons and patients with the necessary instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for a variety of surgical procedures, anticipating surgeon and patient needs and maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• CST from the NBSTA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) required.

Responsibilities

• Sets the sterile environment and maintains the sterile field during procedures.
• Assists in patient positioning and transport as needed.
• Assists on all types of procedures for patients of all ages, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Takes care of specimens, prepares and checks medications, and assists with dressings.
