Responsibilities

• Assist in providing optimal patient care through planning and implementation of surgical procedures.
• Review assigned cases to ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique during operative procedures.
• Prepare and hand off instruments and supplies per surgeon's preference cards.
• Assist with room turnover and transfer of patients to recovery appears.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments per policy.
• Communicate updates to the circulating nurse and OR team.
