Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Program; certification preferable.
• Two years of scrub tech experience in multiple specialties.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to anatomy and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sterility of supplies and instruments during setup.
• Assist circulating nurse and surgical team to maintain a sterile environment.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre- and intra-operatively.
• Gown and glove surgeons and assistants.
• Transport equipment and assist with instrument reprocessing.
