Job summary

USPI New Mexico Surgery Center - Orthopaedics seeks a dedicated Surgical Technologist for a full-time role. You will prepare the operating room, maintain a sterile field, assemble supplies, and assist the surgical team to ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED, Scrub Technician Certification, 1–2 years OR experience, and BLS. We offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plan, paid holidays, and vacation.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years operating room experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Scrub Technician Certification Program required
• BLS Certification required

Responsibilities

• Assembles supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures
• Maintains sterile field during surgical procedures
• inspects equipment for proper working condition
• follows aseptic technique and OR procedures
• prepares sterile packages and instruments for procedures
• arranges instruments according to procedure and surgeon preferences
• maintains instrument cards and surgeons’ preference cards
• documents patient-care records according to facility policies
• assists with room turnover and patient flow
• responds to patient and physician needs in a timely manner
