Job summary

Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Technician to join our surgical team. You will scrub in for procedures, maintain sterile technique, and assist with patient prep, draping, and instrument handling under RN supervision.

The role requires completion of an OR technician program and at least one year of surgical experience, with licensing such as Surgery Technician Certification or Oregon LPN preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Operating Room Technician course and 1 year surgical experience.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Licenses: Surgery Technician Certification or Oregon LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Scrub surgical procedures; engage in emergency cases with physicians.
• Assist with preparation and draping of patients and maintaining a sterile field.
• Set up table, instruments and supplies per scheduled operation; assist the surgeon.
• Obtain supplies and equipment; move patients as needed; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Comply with OSHA Safety Policies and Universal Precautions; support circulating RN as needed.
