Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the Registered Nurse in planning and carrying out elective and emergency surgical procedures within the ASC. The role supports the surgical team and contributes to a positive patient experience.

Education requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related experience, with NY state certification as a surgical scrub technologist. Standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years’ pertinent experience.
• Meets NY state requirements for surgical scrub technologist.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all types of surgical procedures assigned.
• Assist in setting up operating room for procedures and initial surface cleaning.
• Handle sterile linen, instruments, supplies and maintain aseptic technique.
• Assist in sponge and needle counts and handling of specimens.
• Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures.
• Assemble special trays and instruments for processing.
• Complete special assignments for smooth ASC operation.
