Job summary

The Staff Pad in Russellville, AR is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Surgery Department. You will prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, assist surgeons, and help keep procedures safe and efficient.

This full-time Days/Calls role requires a graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS certification, and CST preferred. Strong teamwork and the ability to participate in on-call coverage are valued as part of a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse.
• Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures.
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report any issues.
• Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols.
