Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. Working under the RN supervision, you will scrub, prepare instrumentation, and support sterile technique to ensure patient safety during invasive procedures.

Fulltime and PRN shifts are available; call requirements apply. Candidates should be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology program with BLS and be prepared to respond within 30 minutes when on call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• One year experience preferred or STHS program participation.
• Current BLS certification through ILCOR-affiliated courses.
• Call must be available in-house within 30 minutes when on call.

Responsibilities

• Scrub role preparing instrumentation, supplies and devices for procedures.
• Work under RN supervision to maximize patient safety and sterile technique.
