Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star is seeking a Surgical Scrub Tech to join our orthopedic-focused team. This role requires weekday availability with no holidays, weekends, nights or on-call duties.

You will maintain a sterile field, scrub for procedures, and prepare instruments and supplies to support efficient surgeries. Experience in an ambulatory surgical center and orthopedic settings is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent experience.
• Certification as required by state/center.
• Strong preference for ambulatory surgical center experience, orthopedic focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and maintains a sterile field throughout operations.
• Prepares and passes supplies, instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Supports and participates in quality improvement activities within the Surgery Center.

The Surgical Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
• 2–3 days per week availability (preferably Tuesday and Thursday)
