Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star in Frisco, TX is hiring a Surgical Scrub Tech. The role supports surgical procedures, maintains a sterile field, and prepares supplies and instruments for orthopedics and sports medicine surgeries.

This weekday-only position offers no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call shifts, with opportunities to work in a high-quality ambulatory center that partners with USPI and Dallas Cowboys.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent education/experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Previous ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Orthopedic experience required.
• 2–3 days per week availability (preferably Tuesday and Thursday).

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures and function as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Support quality improvement activities within the Surgery Center.

Surgical Scrub Tech at Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star:

The Surgical Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
• 2–3 days per week availability (preferably Tuesday and Thursday)
