Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star in Frisco, TX is seeking a Surgical Scrub Tech to support orthopedic procedures and maintain sterile technique. The role involves scrubbing in and assisting the surgical team to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

The position is weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call duties. Prior ambulatory surgery center experience and orthopedic expertise are strongly preferred, along with a Surgical Technician program and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
• 2–3 days per week availability (preferably Tuesday and Thursday)

Responsibilities

Surgical Scrub Tech at Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star:

The Surgical Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
