Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at The Star is seeking a Seasonal Certified Surgical Scrub Tech to join our orthopedic-focused team. The role requires weekday coverage with no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call obligations.

As a Surgical Scrub Tech, you will scrub for procedures, maintain sterile fields, and prepare supplies and equipment. Prior ambulatory OR experience and orthopedic expertise are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Orthopedic experience required
• 2-3 days per week availability (preferably Tuesday and Thursday)

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Scrub Tech scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
