Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma; effective communication, precision and accuracy.
• Epic software knowledge is an advantage and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency is expected.
• Ability to communicate well with patients and all staff; manage multiple tasks.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, reschedules, or cancels surgical appointments.
• Communicates with surgical candidates about pre-operative requirements and insurance questions.
• Coordinates scheduling information flow into/out of the clinic.
• Maintains direct communication with OR staff.
• Retrieves insurance preauthorization and other medical documentation as needed.
• Updates electronic medical records and supports the scheduling team.
