Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago seeks an RMG Access Center Specialist II to manage clinical and non-clinical calls and perform scheduling, message taking, radiology scheduling, and referral management. Collaborate with Access Center staff to meet access and revenue objectives while upholding Rush values.

Responsibilities include documenting interactions, using Epic and related systems, and ensuring patient privacy and high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge: High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in patient care or related setting required.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred; bilingual highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Answers all telephone calls within your work assignment to schedule patients per Epic guidelines.
  • Evaluate non-scheduling inquiries and route to RN triage or clinics as needed.
  • Perform outreach to patients to convert referrals to appointments.
  • Identify and assist with outstanding referrals, orders, and patient needs.
  • Utilize Salesforce and Genesys to optimize patient interactions and workflow.
  • Document appointment information accurately and notify patients of critical visit details.
