Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, seeks a Clerical Scheduling Clerk for the Surgical Services Administration to schedule patients for surgery and produce daily surgical area schedules. Responsibilities include entering and updating data, as well as monitoring, verifying and confirming final schedules.
The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and proficiency with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office to coordinate with physicians, staff and patients.

Education and Formal Training: High school diploma or equivalent required College courses in Business or Health Care Administration and/or Computer Technology preferred Medical terminology required within one year of employment
Work Experience: 1 year experience as surgical technologist in operating room preferred OR 1 year experience where primary function of position was utilizing an automated block scheduling system to schedule the use of operating rooms/physician offices preferred
Work is moderately physical and mentally demanding
